"Acuerdo No 026 del 10 de diciembre de 1999 Por medio del cual se establece y adopta la Bandera y el escudo como emblemas ofíciales del municipio de Sutamarchán. Establézcase y adóptese como símbolos patrios oficiales la bandera y el Escudo presentados por el Maestro Eduardo Malagón Bravo, que a continuación se describen: LA BANDERA del municipio de Sutamarchán: Consta de tres colores divididos en dos triángulos por una banda diagonal. 1º El Triángulo superior de color amarillo simboliza la sabiduría y virtud de los hijos de Sutamarchán. 2º El trángulo inferior de color verde simboliza la esperanza de entrga a las generaciones venideras de una patria digna, justa y soberana. 3º La banda de color blnaco simboliza la paz siempre anhelada qie se forja en el entendimiento, respeto y consideración entre los ciudadanos." Consta de tres colores divididos en dos triangulos con una franja diagonal.Primero el triangulo superior de color amarillo simboliza la saviduria y virtud de los hijos de Sutamarchán.Segundo el traingulo inferior de color verde simboliza la esperanza de entrega alas generaciones venideras de una plata digna justa y soberana.Tercera la banda de color blanca simboliza la paz simpre anhelada que se forja en entendimiento, respeto y consideración de los ciudananos."
