Description
Obverse, Amazonomachy with Herakles; Reverse, women, subject unclear. On the largest fragment, from the obverse, the figure of Herakles is clear from his lion skin; he attacks the Amazon Andromache, as indicated by the inscription. Below the palmette-lotus frieze, there was a cavalcade of horsemen. There are four fragments that belong to the piece, 56.128, gift of Mario Astarita, 1956. s
