A Chinese Eastern Zhou Dynasty ( Warring States period) bronze canteen with silver inlaid decorations, dated 300-250 BC, most likely crafted in ancient Henan or Hebei province. It was likely made at Hunan or Hebei province. Bronze inlaid with silver H: 31.3 W: 30.5 D: 11.7 cm. Gift of Charles Lang Freer, F1915.103a-b . Freer Gallery of Art, Smithsonian Institute. Freer and Sackler Galleries. Washington D.C.
