Summary

Description Frieze (south side), Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch, Bushnell Park, Hartford, Connecticut, USA. This is a composite image stitched together from a series of photographs. This frieze was created in 1885, and hence is no longer subject to any form of copyright restrictions. According to records in the Smithsonian Institute, the south frieze was carved by Caspar Buberl (1834-1899) which matches the signature on the frieze. Again, copyright has expired since he died more than 70 years ago.
