Summary

Description
English: Fuller's calculator, manufactured in 1928 Fuller-Bakewell model, serial 5973. Mahogany and brass version of slide rule invented in 1878, in production until 1973. In a case which also can be used as a stand.

A silver(?) plate attached to the lid (not visible in photo) saysː Presented to Mr. H. Hurst. by his colleagues at Crossley Motors Ltd. Jan. 1940.

Of the paper labels stuck inside the lid, one is of the manufacturer W.F. Stanley. The other says A.G. Thornton Ltd. Ref. No. F.1754 Fuller Bakewell Cylindrical Slide Rule.

Noteː the F in the reference number is difficult to decypher.
