Description
English: Italy Italy, Marina Militare. The Ninfe-class coastal hydrographic vessel Galatea (A 5308) built by Intermarine has been launched on June 7, 2000 and was delivered on January 10, 2002 along with the sister unit Aretusa (A 5304). The ship is a catamaran built in Fibre-reinforced plastic designed to perform oceanographic activities as: sea depth research, detection of sunk hulls, topography and geodesy of harbor and coast, sea currents and water data. Here is berthed in the Port of Livorno at “Andana degli Anelli” wharf of “Porto Mediceo”.
