Summary

Description
English: Arms of Gough of Aldercombe in the parish of Kilkhampton, Cornwall: Sable, a chevron between three mermaids argent hair glass case and comb or (Source: Sir George Carew's Scroll of Arms, 1588, With Additions from Joseph Holland's Collection of Arms, 1579, published in Devon Notes and Queries, Vol.I, Part II, January 1900-October 1901, no.62). These arms were quartered by Chichester of Raleigh, Devon and by Lipingcott of Wibbery (Webbery in the parish of Alverdiscott, Devon), who both married heiresses of Gough.
