| Description |
English: View of the ruins of Old Greyfriars, Edinburgh after the church was destroyed in a fire on 19 January 1845. The ruins of the church were cleared under James Smith and David Cousin was appointed architect for the reconstruction of the church. This was not completed until 1857. |
