Description
English: H. H. Pierce by Harris & Ewing, between 1905 and 1945, from the Library of Congress, LC-DIG-hec-15657. (https://www.loc.gov/resource/hec.15657/) It seems likely to me, although not certain, that this is the photographer Henry Havelock Pierce as it resembles some of his other portraits. According to the Library of Congress, "There are no known restrictions on photographs by Harris & Ewing." The Library further states: "Publication and other forms of distribution:Permitted. The photographic firm of Harris & Ewing, Inc. gave its photographic negatives to the Library in 1955. The Instrument of Gift included restrictions which have now expired. In addition, the Library acquired from various sources photographic prints taken by Harris & Ewing. Copyrights were placed on some of these photographs, but the copyrights have expired. Privacy and publicity rights may apply.".
