Description
English: Commercial building Linnankatu 18, Turku, Finland. Completed in 1891, designed by architect Sebastian Gripenberg (1850-1925) as the headquartes of Turku Savings Bank. Extension (right) completed in 1912, architects Birger Brunila and Valter Jung. Three cement cast statues on the facade by Emil Wikström (1864-1942). The building was for a while a Handelsbanken branch too.
Suomi: Liikerakennus Linnankatu 18, Turku. Rakennus on valmistunut Sparbanken i Åbo - Turun Säästöpankin pääkonttoriksi vuonna 1891. Suunnitelmat ovat arkkitehti Sebastian Gripenbergin (1850-1925). Laajennus (oikealla) valmistunut 1912, arkkitehdit Birger Brunila ja Valter Jung. Julkisivun kolme sementtivalua olevaa veistosta ovat Emil Wikströmin, vuodelta 1891 ja nimeltään Kauppa, Teollisuus ja Säästäväisyys. Rakennuksessa toimi lyhyen aikaa myös Handelsbankenin konttori.
