English: This limestone headless statue of a Sumerian man came from Khafajah, and was excavated by the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago, 3rd season, 19321933 CE, Early Dynastic Period, 2900- 2350 BCE. The Sulaymaniyah Museum, Iraqi Kurdistan. The statue is on the list of Oriental Institute's Lost Treasures from Iraq after April 2003. However, it has been housed at the Sulaymaniyah Museum since October 1961, as a permanent loan from the Iraqi Museum.
