Čeština: Plukovnice ve výslužbě Helena Petránková (rozená Ackermannová, * 9. dubna 1904, Ružomberok – 21. srpna 1968 Praha) byla slovenská farmaceutka židovského původu, členka KSČ a feministka, příslušnice zdravotnického personálu v rámci československých interbrigád během španělské občanské války, členka československého odboje v Sovětském svazu, později postižená procesy komunistického režimu v Československu. Jako jedna z několika Čechoslovenek v rámci jednotek v SSSR dosáhla v rámci nasazení ve druhé světové válce důstojnické hodnosti a posléze působila v Československé lidové armádě jako žena s jednou z nejvyšších vojenských hodností.
English: Retired colonel Helena Petránková (née Ackermannová, * 9 April 1904, Ružomberok - 21 August 1968 Prague) was a Slovak pharmacist of Jewish origin, a member of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and a feminist, a member of the medical staff of the Czechoslovak inter-brigades during the Spanish Civil War, a member of the Czechoslovak resistance in the Soviet Union, and later a victim of the trials of the communist regime in Czechoslovakia. She was one of several Czechoslovak women within the troops in the USSR to achieve officer rank during her deployment in World War II, and later served in the Czechoslovak People's Army as a woman with one of the highest military ranks. |
