Summary

Description
English: The visualisation shows that in the last five years China's high priced cities and major first and second tier cities have been concentrated in Eastern and Southern China. Uneven and insufficient development in the east, west, south and north, with large economic disparities

- Source of data, published in March 2022 by the China Housing Data Institute: Revenues from land sales in major cities and house prices by city over the last 5 years (2017-2021).

- The master map for this chart was generated using QGIS. Cities, as well as the seven geographic regions of China, are divided according to official documents. In addition, the neighbouring countries graphic in the background was taken from data provided by sciencespo and further edited using Adobe illustrator editing software.
