Summary

From http://www.osei.noaa.gov/Events/Tropical/Atlantic/2000/TRCmichael293A_G8.jpg, this satellite shot shows Hurricane Michael over the Northern Atlantic as a 100 mph hurricane. It would begin losing its tropical characteristics shortly after this image was taken, and would make landfall on Newfoundland as an extratropical system shortly after that.

The NOAA emblem is the property of the U.S. Government and a trademark of the United States Department of Commerce.
