Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and Druze religious leaders, as well as representatives from the different faith communities and ethnicities within Israeli society, joined to celebrate diversity and mutual respect at the Thanksgiving dinner, with a prayer for peace given by the religious leaders present. DCM Grant highlighted the U.S. Embassy’s commitments and efforts in fostering ongoing dialogues, promoting inter-religious and intercultural communication, and partnership with the diverse communities in Israel. “Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars,” the DCM said, quoting the late Rev.
