Description
English: According to Joseph H. Kleinfelter, Harrisburg: An Illustrated History in Postcards (Atglen, Pa.: Schiffer Publishing, 2009), p. 120, this postcard shows "City Island Park Track Field. This field was at the south end of the island, just below the Market Street Bridge. The field was used by area high schools and colleges for many track meets and football games. Circa 1910."
