Description
English: First flight of the staircase. The lion statuette finial atop the newel post is supporting a Clitherow's coat of arms and is thought to be a 19c addition. Behind protective covers on the wall and ascending with the stairs is a very rare and early English example of trompe d' œil depicting matching balusters. Boston Manor House, Boston Manor Road, Brentford, TW8 9JX. United Kingdom. Tel: +44 020 8583 4463. Building currently owned by the London Borough of Hounslow.
