Magyar: Képes krónika (98.oldal) - Krakkó ostroma "P" iniciáléban Krakkó ostroma. A háttérben a Visztula partján emelkedő Krakkó vára látszik, melynek falairól egy katona letekint. Az előtérben balról László király baljával Árpád-sávos címeres pajzsra támaszkodik, jobbjában kardot tart. Az előtérben jobbról felhalmozott földre lábvértpáncélból lisztet szór egy katona, ugyanilyet hoz a mögötte jövő is. A krónika elbeszélése szerint a várbeliek, látván, hogy még bőven van eleségük az ostromlóknak, önként feladják a várat. English: Chronicon Pictum (Page 98) - Siege of Kraków In the initial "P", in the background, the Kraków castle rising on the banks of the Vistula, from the walls of which a soldier looks down. In the foreground, on the left, King Saint Ladislaus leans on a shield with the Árpád-striped coat of arms with his left, and holds a sword in his right. In the foreground, on the right, a soldier sprinkles flour from his leg armor on the piled ground, and the one behind him also sprinkles flour. According to the narration of the chronicle, the inhabitants of the castle, seeing that the besiegers still have plenty of food, voluntarily surrendered the castle. |
