Summary

Description
English: Kachari ruins form a nice amalgam of Indian mythology and history, one can witness these chessboard like pillars in the present day town of Dimapur, which represents the town of Hadimbapur (as in mythological stories of Mahabharata), as per mythology Bhim and Hadimba got married here and gave birth to Ghatotkach. As per local folklore its said that Bhim and his child used to play chess here with these pieces. However nowadays this place lies vacant and in a dilapidated state, with almost no security. A piece of history waiting to be explored.
