Description
English: The VISSR instrument onboard the NOAA GOES-7 satellite captured this visible image of Hurricane Kiko on August 27, 1989, at 00:00 UTC. At the time this image was captured, Kiko was a Category 3 hurricane with maximum sustained wind speeds of 120 mph (195 km/h), and its minimum central pressure was 955 mb.
