Summary

Description
English: In 1780 Kildwick bridge was widened for the Turnpike becoming structurally two bridges standing side‐by‐side. This photo shows how the ribbed vaulting of the upstream side, built 1305-1313, differs from the smooth later style of the far side. For more see Wikipedia Kildwick.
