A black and white photograph of a group of business men gathered in front of a Lake Erie and Northern Railway passenger car which is stopped in front of the Berlin (Kitchener) Light Commission office, located at 169 King Street West, near Gaukel Street. The men are gathered to board the "Elmira to Erie" train, which is traveled to Port Dover on Tuesday 16 October 1917.
Description
English: Group photo of businessmen on an excursion trip organized by the Board of Trade and Kitchener Manufacturers Association, advertised as the "Elmira to Erie" train. The chartered train would have left Elmira and passed through Kitchener along streetcar tracks to this point along King Street by the Berlin Light Commission and Brunswick Hotel, before continuing on its way to Port Dover.
