The LAR ("Libyan Arab Republic") entered the then "Federation of Arab Republics" (together with Syria and Egypt) on . The common flag was the so-called "Nasserite", a flag showing a red horizontal stripe over white over black. The stamp motive shows the changed state coat of arms of Lybia under usage of the new flag.
