English: Original caption: Gen. w:Lyman L. Lemnitzer, w:Supreme Allied Commander Europe (left), congratulates Gen. w:Theodore W. Parker, former chief of staff, w:Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, after presenting him with the Distinguished Service Medal. Gen. Parker retires after more than 37 years' commissioned service. He is succeeded by Gen. Horace M. Wade, previously commander of all U.S. Air Forces in Europe.
