日本語: 三木によるキャプションは次の通り。「この写真もマッコムが見たら怒るだろうと思うが僕にとってはマッコムの感じが一番よく出ていると思う。テレビで見たマッコムの仕事中の顔と一番よく似ているからだ。マッコムは子供のとき病弱で学校にも満足に行かなかった。いまだに彼はとても神経質でいらいらしている。僕はほんとうのマッコムの顔をとりたいといつもねらっていた。この写真をとった時グランドセントラル駅から郊外へ行く汽車がでる約30分前でマッコムのいらいらした感じがよく出ているので好きだ。しかし仕事でない時のマッコムはいつも笑顔をみせている」『日本カメラ』日本カメラ社、1955年、4月号より。
