He thoughtto himself that a man who could drink from asilver cup and eat with a silver knife ought to beable to travel in a carriage or on horseback, butthere was no horse nor carriage in sight. Well, said the traveler, if you will neithereat nor drink, you can at least rest yourself/ So the boy seated himself on one of the bigrocks close by the spring, and the traveler beganto ask him all sorts of questions. What was hisname, and where did he come from, and wherewas he going. What was his name ? asked Sweetest Susansuddenly. Well, I declare! exclaimed Mrs. Meadows have nt I told you his name ?
