Deutsch: Westansicht der röm.-kath. Pfarr- und Wallfahrtskirche hl. Nikolaus in der burgenländischen Marktgemeinde Lockenhaus. Die Grundsteinlegung der Kirche fand am 2. Juli 1656 statt. Wegen Baumängel (Risse in den Seitenwänden) verzögerte sich der Bau und daher erfolgte die Einweihung erst am 15. September 1669. Gestiftet wurde die Kirche vom Besitzer der Herrschaft Lockenhaus, Graf Franz III. Nádasdy. Das Kirchenschiff ist 18 Meter hoch, der Turm 57,5 Meter. Der Baustil ist Frühbarock, der Kircheneingang ist noch im Renaissancestil gehalten. |
