• Manual winding
• Silver casing (800/1000)
• Rear view, clockwork exposed, visible wear marks
• Case diameter (width): 47 mm; height including crown: 61 mm.
• Manufactured in Swítzerland
• According to the serial number (S/N) 1999795 this pocket watch was produced in approx. mid 1907.^[1] Production commences with S/N 1,950,000 (approx.) in 1907 and subsequently with 2,100,000 (approx.) in 1908.
• Presumably ersatz hands (both hour and minute hands).
• Very surprising fact: the caliber (i.e. the actual inner workings of a watch) is a true mirror image of similar Longines 4 Grand Prix pocket watches (yet correct writing direction in both cases).
• This image was taken at an acquainted collector's residence in Germany. It is in dire need of a thorough re-oiling.

• Rückseitenansicht mit Uhrwerk und sichtbaren Gebrauchsspuren
• Gehäusemaße: Durchmesser/Breite: 47 mm. Höhe mit Krone: 61 mm
• Hergestellt in der Schweiz ab ca. 1900
• Die auf dieser Taschenuhr eingeprägte Seriennummer (S/N) 1999795 weist auf ein Herstellungsdatum circa Mitte 1907 hin.^[1] Nachweis: Die Seriennummern für 1907 beginnen ab circa 1.950.000 und die für 1908 ab circa 2.100.000.
• Vermutlich Ersatzzeiger
• Erstaunliche Entdeckung: Das Kaliber ist exakt spiegelbildlich ausgeführt zu weiteren Longines Modell 4 Grand Prix Taschenuhren (dennoch stimmt in beiden Fällen die Schreibrichtung).
• Diese Aufnahme erfolgte bei einem befreundeten Uhrensammler in Deutschland. Reinigung des Uhrwerks erforderlich!

Technical Details / Making of this Image

• Preamble: This image is not a focus stack, but is instead composed of 4 images taken at identical focus position by the proprietary Sony Alpha 7RIII PixelShift function.
• Sony lens FE 90mm F2.8 Macro G OSS, magnification ratio 1:3.2
• Shutter speed 1/40s, aperture 11, 16-bit RAW (.ARW), bias(=exp.comp.) -0.7, WB=7000K
• [1.] Sony Alpha 7RIII PixelShift function + selftimer: 4 RAW images shifted by 1 pixel (initial pos., up, right, down).
• [2.] Sony ImageViewer: processed these 4 pixel-shifted RAW images into one TIFF/16 bit file.
• [3.] Photoshop: Photoshop: (a) converted to smartfilter, applied camera RAW filter (b) applied Preset 002 (Presence+Sharp+NoiseRed) (c) expos.+1.00 (d) square crop (e) removed remaining dust and sensor specks (f) exported as JPG/max quality level.
• Result: improved colour rendering and slightly enhanced resolution due to above described quadruple imaging (via Sony Pixelshift function).
