English:

Vertical, black and white photograph looking north on Twelfth Street (later Tucker Boulevard) at Locust Street. The left side of the photograph shows the Shubert Theater in the Union Electric Building, as well as several neighboring buildings. Fir trees can be seen behind a row of parked cars in front of the theater. Power lines criss-cross the center of the image.

For a detail taken from this image, see P0054-00002. A typed note on the back of the P0054-00002 print reads: "North in Twelfth Blbd. at Locust street. Old Shubert Theatre was in the Union Electric Building, prior to addition of five upper stores. Show was a farce, "A Pair of Sixes and a Torn Queen." Early 1920s." Below this, a note in pencil reads: " 'A Pair of Sixes' played at the Schubert in 1915."
