Summary

Description
English: This image shows the lower Chinle Group exposed in a road cut west of Abiquiu, New Mexico. The thick tan sandstone beds at top are Poleo Formation. Below this is a thin bed of mudstone of the Salitral Formation, then a thicker bed at road level of pinkish Shinarump Conglomerate. The top of the Permian Cutler Group (Arroyo del Agua Formation) is barely exposed at the base of the road cut.
