A Ganz-Mávag ösztöndíjasaként,1968-ban a Magyíar iparművészeti Főiskola, Szerszám és gépipari tanszékén A DVM10 (M63) 2700 le.-s diesel villamos mozdony formaterezése volt a diplomamunkám. Opponensem a Ganz Mávag ménöke Hajtó Béla volt. A mozdony főkonstruktőre Vizelyi György. A diplomatervem eredetileg egy hátradöntött homlokzatú áramvonalasabb megoldás volt. Ezt a megvalósult -"akkor divatos"- előredöntött homloku változatot a már a mozdonytervezési osztályon fejlesztettük ki az akkor rendelkezésre álló technológiák szerint. A mozdony eredeti festési tervét is én készítettem, a későbbi "egységes" MÁV színtervek szerintem nem segítették a mozdony karakterének megtartását. Szubjektív megjegyzés: Amikor unokáimmal a Vasúttörténeti Emlékparkban jártam, kicsit elszomorodtam, hogy múzeumi tárgy lett belőle. Persze már nincs Ganz-Mávag sem amely -"sokasodni foszlott"(József A.) és lassan kihal az a műszaki gárda is akik képesek lennének a Magyar vasúti gördülő anyag gyártásának újraélesztésére.
