Summary

Description
English: An MTA service alert posted at 46th Street–Bliss Street station in July 2014, warning of a months-long shutdown to an entire section of the IND Crosstown Line in order to repair flood damage caused by Hurricane Sandy two years prior in 2012, and make the line more resilient to future disasters. Repairs to all lines affected by Hurricane Sandy ultimately required a number of shutdowns and closures over the following decade, and cost billions of dollars.
