MAGFest

The entire logo is used to convey the meaning intended and avoid tarnishing or misrepresenting the intended image.

The logo is of a size and resolution sufficient to maintain the quality intended by the company or organization, without being unnecessarily high resolution.

The image is used to identify the organization Logo for MAGFest (Music and Gaming Festival), a subject of public interest. The significance of the logo is to help the reader identify the organization, assure the readers that they have reached the right article containing critical commentary about the organization, and illustrate the organization's intended branding message in a way that words alone could not convey.

Because it is a non-free logo, there is almost certainly no free representation. Any substitute that is not a derivative work would fail to convey the meaning intended, would tarnish or misrepresent its image, or would fail its purpose of identification or commentary.

The following is an e-mail between me and an image ownwer, asking for permission of use.

Hi Nick, I am happy to provide you with permission to use our logo on
Wikipedia. Actually, although we do not currently display the Creative
Commons logo (I should get on that, my apologies), this is the license we
are currently using for many our materials:

I understand Wikipedia's need to resize images; I do not interpret
"transform" to include resizing and happily waive that from the "derivative
works" clause stated since Wikipedia is obviously not a derivative work of
MAGFest or its images.
