Ewden Beck, which flows from Broomhead and More Hall Reservoirs, flows beneath the bridge and enters the River Don a few hundred metres to the right. The centre of Ewden Beck forms the boundary between Stocksbridge and Bradfield Parishes and a stone marker to this effect is in the centre of the bridge. 860818860857
