Summary

Description
English: Photo of the set of a silent film, probably Intolerance. Five cast, crew, or production staff face the camera. Notes indicate the three of the people include Dorothy or Lillian Gish, Mary H. O'Connor, and Anita Loos.
Date
Source Scanned photo from the estate of screenwriter Mary H. O'Connor (1872-1959)
Author unknown - probably a studio

From the estate of Mary H. O'Connor. Penciled notes on the back say: Gish ~ Mary ~ Anita Loos [my separators].

Uploader notes:

  • I'm guessing this from the medieval set of Intolerance, and D.W. Griffith is at the center of the picture. There's a strong resemblance to confirmed, contemporary pictures of Griffith.
  • To me, the "Gish" at the left looks more like Dorothy and Lillian, despite Dorothy not being credited in the film. There is other evidence of Dorothy Gish being on set during production of Intolerance.
  • Can anybody confirm some of this?
