Summary

This is a signalling diagram of Killagan station on the LMS (NCC) Railway. It is typical of many rural passing places on the single track section of the Main Line from Belfast to Londonderry that had the crossing loop altered to provide a straight or "fast" line to allow express trains to run through at high speed in both directions. Portstewart station on the Portrush branch was broadly similar, as was Ballycarry on the Larne Line where there was an overbridge instead of level crossing. Diagram created by E.N. Calvert-Harrison
