Description
English: A diagram showing the outer hair cell, with the supporting Deiters' cell. Deiters' cell has a phalangeal process which extends up, meeting the top of the hair cell. The reticular lamina is the surface formed by the apical surfaces of the inner hair cells, the pillar cells, the apical outer hair cells and the phalangeal process of Deiters' cells.
