Description
English: A tourist postcard of the paddle steamer Alexandra turning at Gunnislake on the River Tamar. The two motor launches with awnings heading for the lock are the Tamar Queen and Princess of the Tamar Transport Company.

Author Photographer unknown. The work is typical of the postcards of Frederick J Paul of Calstock, or Edward Chapman of Dawlish, but neither can be identified as the author of this particular one. J. H. Quick of Fore Street, Saltash, was probably the most prolific publisher of Tamar steamer postcards, but this "in a landscape" view is not his usual style.
