Has been only field officer on duty for 12 companies, (600 men); account of fights at Blue Springs and at Greeneville; behavior of men of 9th exceptionally good; death of John Morgan; visit to Mrs. Williams and to Nancy Scott to see his body; kept him pipe; got his baggage and private and official documents; saw Temple's brothers and offers services in any way.
