Summary

Author: NASA. Photo of Rogallo's flexible wing (Parawing) which was tested by NASA a a steerable parachute to retrieve Gemini space capsules and retrieve used rocket stages. The spars were not self-inflating; but the canopy of single skin gained form when gliding.
