Summary

Description
English: This Roman grave marker stands in Philippi (Greece), in the remains of the first-century cemetery that ran between the highway (the via Egnatia) and the river, just outside the NW gate of the city. The grave belonged to a certain L.(ucius) Salvius Secundinus son of Secundus. Today the marker is one of the few that remain intact and standing. It is in an unexcavated area adjacent to the modern Orthodox church of St. Lydia and St. Paul, close to the highway. Reference : AE 1992, 1527
Verwysing: AE 1992, 1527
