Summary

Description Operation Plumbbob - John test. LAS VEGAS, NV. Test of a AIR-2A Genie nuclear air-to-air rocket. The live nuclear rocket accelerates past the launching Scorpion at an undisclosed speed. The rocket project was begun in early 1954 and code-named “Genie” by the Air Research and Development Command.
