Description

Handbill announcing the tentative schedule of Federal Theatre Project events at Maxine Elliott's Theatre, with two Project 891 plays in repertory and a third to be added. This schedule was not implemented. Text below the letterhead reads as follows:

  • With the opening of Marc Blitzstein's "THE CRADLE
    WILL ROCK", Project 891 of the WPA Federal Theatre
    inaugurates a policy of all-year-round repertory at the Maxine
    Elliot Theatre. After a series of special performances, Project
    891 will give "THE CRADLE WILL ROCK" in rotation
    with "DR. FAUSTUS", the classical success now in its 5th
    month. Later in the summer a third production will be added
    to the program.

    THE CRADLE WILL ROCK Through July 2nd
    DR. FAUSTUS July 5th through July 9th
    THE CRADLE WILL ROCK July 10th through July 19th
    DR. FAUSTUS July 20th through July 24th
