Summary

Description Images of San Juan, Sept. 21, following Hurricane Maria, which struck Puerto Rico with 175 mph winds. An advance team of eight Western Area Power Administration employees arrived in San Juan​ ahead of the hurricane. The team is there to assist FEMA and the U.S. Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority to assess damage to the energy infrastructure and develop an approach for the incoming crews to work safely and quickly to restore power.
