Summary

Description
English: HMS EAGLE was an aircraft carrier. Support ships such as RFA RELIANT were available to provide additional stores (in this case mainly aircraft spare parts and catering supplies). The roughness of the seas is exaggerated by the proximity of the two vessels. They would have to steer a straight and steady course throughout the transfer, which could last for an hour or more.
