English: On China National Highway 326 in a banana-growing district in the valley of the Red River in Lianhuatan Township (Hekou County, Yunnan), between Manhao highway exit and Lianhuatan township center. The ad hanging above the road says, "用以色列氯化钾种香蕉产量高" - "With the use of Israeli Potassium Chloride, raise the banana yields." ("Israeli Potassium Chloride" may be a brand name, perhaps that of en:Israel Chemicals, who have a branch in China. Elsewhere, one can see claims that the mineral fertilizer is indeed produced at the Dead Sea in Israel, although it may be just a marketing statement not connected with reality. China has plenty of salt lakes too, after all, in Qinghai mostly)
