Summary

Description
English: The red aggressor force uses a Russian-made "SA-11 Gadfly" Buk missile system — a surface to air missile launcher —to target the blue opposition forces during RED FLAG-Alaska 09-1 aerial combat exercises Oct. 6, 2008, at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. F-16 crews, acting as aggressors, keep in contact with the SA-11 crew to coordinate and lock onto blue forces while engaged in aerial combat.

Important note: Actually, this is not "a Russian-made "SA-11 Gadfly". This may be an American copy of Buk made for training purposes. There are several visual differences including the large door (canonical Buk has only two hatches in front of the vehicle) and the "ugly" shape of the instrument compartments. Also one may notice the "INERT" sign on the missiles, the other captioning in English and the different (from Buk) vehicle tracks.
