Description
English: Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, Calif., home the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), hosted a panel given by members of the Secretary of the Air Force Office of Special Projects (SAFSP) Alumni Association on December 3rd, 2012. The SAFSP Legacy Panel provides a medium through which senior experts from SAFSP, NRO, and other organizations share their knowledge about different programs. In the past, the panel has focused on topics such as the recently declassified Corona program. This year, the panel will discuss the SAFSP organization and operating methods to include the origins of SAFSP, security, contracting and budgeting. Additionally, the operating philosophy of SAFSP emphasizing empowerment and personal responsibilities will be presented, as well as relationships between the SAFSP Director and the Director, National Reconnaissance Office (DNRO) and between SAFSP organization and the U.S. Air Force.
