Summary

Description
English: This description of the San Carlos, California, airport shows that its airport code, SQL, was in use in 1972, a number of years before the existence of the Oracle Corporation. Oracle's headquarters are near the airport, and it is sometimes thought that the airport's code, SQL, relates to Oracle's heavy use of the SQL database language.
