Description
English: Sculpture Bury Knowle Park, Headington, Oxfordshire. The trunk of the dead cedar tree has been carved into a sculpture featuring characters from the books of the Headington authors J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis: the dragon Smaug from The Hobbit, Aslan the lion from The Chronicles of Narnia, and the horse from The Horse and His Boy.
In the background is Bury Knowle, an early 19th-century house that is now Headington Public Library
